Don't let these people work on your car, go elsewhere.!!! I went there to fix a diagnostic trouble code because my van would not pass a smog test due to the trouble code P0700 transmission. Causing the service engine light to be on. I went to Express to diagnose the problem because they had a DRB3 diagnostic code scanner. Got a call and was told numerous things were wrong according to the scan tool. So 3 days later and $3900 later I picked up my van, drove 6 miles and trans. went back in to limp mode, check engine light came back on and delay shifting from rev. to drive came back. Took it back and they said the new shift solenoid had to be replaced. That did not fix it. They over tightened the bolt tha holds the 60 pin wire connector to the transmission control module, this made it impossible to disconnect the TCM. So it was up to me they said because they could not find a TCM. Supposedly according to the bill they tested all electrical components before they did anything else. After I spent $3900 I was still no better off than I was before I took the van to Express. After having to buy and install a TCM myself, and splicing the new connector on to the van myself, the check engine light is not lit, there are no diagnostic trouble codes and the vehicle passed the smog test. So I ended up fixing the problem myself. After paying them over $3900 and having to take it back to them twice because the check engine light and P0700 DTC still were present plus the van was in limp mode again. I was still no better off than I was before I took the van to Express. Also, every time they worked on my van I was told to drive approx. 100 miles to re-establish the perimeters and monitors in the vehicles computers, which they said would make the P0700 code go away. It didn’t go away. So, 30 gallons of fuel, plus my time to drive the 100 miles 3 times and 2 days to splice the wire harness, plus the cost of purchasing the TCM and materials, and another 100 miles, I’m into this repair for over $5,000. I went back to ask for a partial refund of one half of what I paid them, and I was yelled at and given a bunch of static about “there were this code and that code”. Rebuilding the transmission they guaranteed would remedy the problem. Anyway I’m out of time and patience so I will do what I have to do. Thanks for reading. I wonder how many of the 5 star reviews are false or made up. I should have read farther down the reviews list. This place is a joke, and customer service is non-existent. When I went and asked for half of what I paid them to be refunded, I was yelled at and given BS about "you had this code and that code" and pretty much "the cost of running a business, and California regulations" were my fault. Do yourself a favor and find a good shop to fix your car. (This is all factual)
